Robbi Shveyd

Trainers/Coaches
Nutritionist

Robbi Shveyd has been "getting her exercise on" since early childhood, much of it spent on the softball field, on the balance beam and in dance class. Her devotion to physical fitness followed her to U.C. Davis where she became a regular at the local gym and later a certified group exercise instructor.  Freshman year, Robbi took a nutrition class thinking maybe she could stave off the freshman 15. Instead of pounds, she gained a steadfast determination to make living healthy her life’s work. Robbi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, a minor in Exercise Physiology and an eagerness to get her career started. She received her personal training certification, taught at UC Davis and landed a job at Apple Computers as Assistant Wellness Director. Then it was back to school at San Francisco State University where Robbi earned a Master of Arts in Kinesiology all while working as a personal trainer and nutritionist. Robbi opened Advanced Wellness in May of 2001, working with all different types of clients at all fitness levels.  “A client can expect that I will take a holistic approach to their wellness.  My goal for each client is to leave the session feeling better than when they arrived,” Robbi says. When Robbi is not at Advanced Wellness (um…never), she can be found climbing the Lyon Street stairs, listening to Ne-Yo’s Closer or yes, she’ll admit it, Donna Summer’s Last Dance.  She’s also a busy mom of two daughters with business partner and husband, Leo Shveyd.
