Advanced Wellness is excited to announce our new Afterburn Group Personal Training. It seems so new, yet this type of fitness has been around for over 150 years. How do we explain it? Many people strength train with weights while others do cardio or aerobics – somewhere in between is Afterburn, the new concept offered at Advanced Wellness.

 

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Flow is a practice where postures or asanas are connected through the breath for a transformative and balancing effect.   Classes builds heat, endurance, flexibility, and strength.   The creative sequencing found in a vinyasa class is often built around surya namaskar (sun salutations).   Vinyasa (also called “Power Yoga”) as a form is always evolving.  This vigorous style of yoga links breath and movement through a sequence of Sun Salutations and postures. The smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will test the edge of your balance and flexibility.

Vinyasa classes are best if you are already physically active, comfortable with the basic yoga postures, and appreciate a healthy sweat.
