Please keep in mind that we want to be more than just a place where you have a membership. We feel strongly about fitness and what it can do in your life and we want to help you get the most out of your time with us.

Our Gym

We are a family owned club doing business since 2001.

Our mission is simple: We want to be the highlight of your day. Everyday!

Everyone who is considering joining us is given the option to “test drive” our  services with our 30 Days for $99 Personal Training Experience. We feel we have the best programs in town but talk is cheap. We want you to come meet our team, meet the other clients and give us a chance to earn your business.

At the end of your PT experience, if we are not the club for you, simply walk away and you will be under no further obligation. Many people who come through our doors have already made up their mind to join the club through referral or by our reputation in the community, but for those who haven’t yet decided, trying before you commit is the best way to get started.

Your sessions will include cardiovascular work, strength and conditioning as well as flexibility.  Because of our holistic approach, the trainers and nutritionist are here to assist you with your diet as well.  All of these factors add up to you feeling mentally stronger as well as physically more stable.  The workouts take place in our state of the art facility, which has been referred to as a “playground for adults.” if sport specific training or training for a particular event is your aim, we have the right trainers and equipment to help you improve your performance and accomplish your goals.  We are here to educate, motivate and take you on your journey to better health.  Our goal at Advanced Wellness is to have happy, satisfied and healthy clients that feel, move, perform and look their best!

Because of the way our facility is set up, the majority or your training is focused on functional fitness, which means performing training tasks that replicate the movements found in life.  Lifting, throwing, catching, pushing, pulling, single-leg standing, lunging and squatting are activities that we all encounter at some point and our training should mimic these movements.

Group Classes

Are you ready for something different? Leave it to Advanced Wellness to be on the cutting edge and bring the hottest fitness craze in North America to San Francisco! Advanced Wellness is excited to announce our new Afterburn Group Personal Training. It seems so new, yet this type of fitness has been around for over 150 years. How do we explain it? Many people strength train with weights while others do cardio or aerobics – somewhere in between is Afterburn, the new concept offered at Advanced Wellness.

 

 

Body Work

The best reward for a workout well done, a long day at work, or a week of driving the kids around is a relaxing, invigorating massage.  We offer a variety of bodywork techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Pre-Natal Massage, as well as Trigger Point Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy.

The purpose of bodywork therapy is the correction of problems in the client's overall posture, connective tissue, and/or musculature in order to bring about greater ease of movement, less discomfort, and a higher level of energy in daily activity.  Some forms of bodywork have as a secondary purpose: the healing or prevention of repetitive stress injuries, particularly for people whose occupations require intensive use of specific parts of the body.  Bodywork may also heal or prevent specific musculoskeletal problems, such as lower back or neck pain.

Nutrition

Proper dietary habits are essential to reaching any fitness goal, which is why we offer on-site nutrition counseling. Whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain, general increase in energy, or enhancement of sports performance, the nutritionist will work with you to identify dietary patterns that may be keeping you from reaching your target.  Once specific patterns are identified, you'll learn how to alter your diet to achieve maximum health and energy benefits.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific points located on the surface of the skin, which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to achieve the desired effect.  Those points are stimulated by the insertion of hair thin disposable stainless steel needles.

Just as the Western Medical Doctor monitors the blood flowing through blood vessels and the messages transported via the nervous system, the Acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of Qi, also known as Vital Energy, within its pathways known as meridians or channels.

Modern research shows that acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins, serotonin and other neuro-chemicals that promote circulation and hormonal balance as well as reduce pain and inflammation.

The aim of acupuncture is not only to eliminate or alleviate symptoms but also to treat the underlying cause and improve the quality of life.  One of the greatest advantages of acupuncture is the absence of undesirable side effects.
